So, Horror Realm Spring Break Massacre went off without a hitch on Saturday. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. I also met someone I’ve been chatting with for awhile, Mr. Dan Foytik. He runs the incredible 9th Story podcast and if you haven’t listened to it, you’re missing out.
Horror Realm had its busy moments and its slow moments. We (the PMPress authors) participated in an early morning panel about writing, being an author, and many things related to the profession. After that, it was all table time, talking to people and selling books. Not a whole lot of cosplay at the event, but a startling awesome conversation with Amazon Eve. Tom Savini made an appearance and dazzled the crowd just by being there. Not sure how that even fucking works, but there you have it. All in all, an excellent time.
Next up for me is HorrorHound in Cincinnati on March 21. Come by the Post Mortem Press booth and buy a book, chat me up, and all that. It promises to be a good time, a busy time, and as always, a rowdy time.
On the writing side of things… “They Are Among Us” is still with the editor. Expecting to hear about the first round this weekend. “An Unfettered Life” is still in submission over at Hydra for their dystopian anthology. The last bit of news is that I’ve started revision my young adult fantasy novel, “The Knights of Draco Myst: Sir Christian” in hopes to have it submitted before summer. There’s been some gentle interest in it, so we’ll see where that goes.
Stay tuned, Brownies, and let’s see where 2015 takes us.
